Product description
A ceiling light that looks like a woven sun hat and throws warm, textured light.
A raffia ceiling light for rooms where a pendant would hang too low. The shade is hand-woven from raffia paper into a wide, gently wavy disc, so the light filters through the fibres and lands softly on the walls instead of glaring down. It sits on a short stem below a small beige canopy, which keeps it close to the ceiling in a bedroom, hallway or apartment living room. Fit a decorative filament bulb and the shape shows even when the light is off.
The details that matter
- Hand-woven raffia paper. Each shade is woven by hand, so the fibres sit slightly differently on every piece and the light comes through with a warm, natural texture
- Wavy brim. The disc curves like the brim of a hat, which spreads light sideways across the ceiling rather than only straight down
- Short stem. Around 15 cm from ceiling to bulb, so it suits rooms with a standard 2.4 m ceiling
- Open bulb. Takes a standard E27 bulb; a spiral filament LED shows through the weave and becomes part of the look
- Natural beige. A pale straw colour that sits with timber floors, linen and white walls
